      Wild Meat!

Ive just ordered some free range organic rabbit and partridge from these people, probably going to try them out next week, maybe make a rabbit pie scented with tarragon and topped with puff pastry.

With the partridge i'll probably make a bread sauce and serve it with a fruit compote of some kind, game and fruit are best friends!! Watch this space for recipes and heres the website if you fancy ordering anything.

      Friday Food Club

There should be one of these in every town! Every month the highly talented and enthusiastic Lee and his lovely sidekick Fi hold a secret supper club in Blackheath Village. They offer excellent food, social intercourse and a great atmosphere, bringing together the foodies of London and the surrounding areas. The menu is set but features several (and I do mean several) courses of such delights as Glazed Belly of Gloucestershire Pork with Pomme Anna, Apple Charlotte with Creme Anglais

They also host special dining events such as the BIG Secret Supper on 29th Jan of which I'm a part of the kitchen team! See the website for details. Oh and on that note, the website is also packed to the brim with amazing tried and tested recipes with pictures!

      Bath Pig Chorizo

The British Chorizo provider who have not only recently won a blind taste tests against Spanish Chorizo but who also give every customer who buys a chorizo a recipe leaflet. Whats not to love. They are suppliers for Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir au Quat Saison, All Mark Hix restaurants and in Bristol the Award Winning Cow Shed on Whiteladies Road.

      Northumbrian Organic Meats

Steve Ramshaw has been my butcher for the last 4 years or so. I discovered him after seeing him on the UKTV Food Heroes awards (of which he won) Their beef and lamb is notably exceptional. He never lets me down on quality, posts nationwide and attends several regional farmers markets selling produce. Seriously give them a go, they also stock Wagyu beef. You can read more about the breeds and Steve’s exceptional farming methods on the website.

I proper love Tim, he is a thoroughly lovely man and I was so proud to have spend so much time with him on MasterChef. He is really making a go of what he loves to do and I salute him! His goodies are stocked all over the place, check his website for details. I recommend the passion fruit or the rose they are to die for! YUM.

      Brays Cottage Pork Pies

Give me a load of Sarahs pork pies, a lot of English mustard and shove me on a dessert island – I’ll be well satisfied. The best most deliciously flavoursome pork pies I have ever tasted. They even do 4 tier wedding pork pies, I mean how cool is that? They are award winners too! Britain’s best pie for sure.

      Hammer Stahl

I was lucky enough to be given one of these knives back in 2009 and its really fantastic. Its weighted beautifully, razor sharp and has a quad tang design which make them really well balanced (which is what you need for chopping). I have the 7.5" Santoku Knife and I use it daily.

      Bake-o-glide

I seriously can’t live without these products in my kitchen. They make baking so much simpler, theres no greasing pans, no cutting parchment, PLUS they are re-usable. Delia and Nigella are fans too, what more do you want? They are stocked at Lakeland Plastic too.
